"Return to Normalcy" was the campaign promise of President Warren G. Harding. The gist being; let's get America back to it's pre World War 1 days. Focus on things at home instead of abroad. I didn't know that when I was in high-school. To me the phrase sounded innocuous, like something you'd read in the dialogue of Far Side or Non Sequitur. That, and it sounded so dumb. So I slapped the title on my comics and passed them out to my friends and teachers. I got a few yuks and kept drawing.
In 2016 I began drawing comics under that banner again. It lasted a year until my film career made it impossible to keep updating with quality. I’ve collected them in a full color edition comic that I offer at Zinefests and Comic Festivals.
It is my hope that I can return to this full time one day. You can find the site here.
Fiends and Fortunes aka "The Fortune Teller Project"
One day my wife brought home a fortune teller that one of her students had made for her english class. After folding it a couple of times I thought about how I have never seen a comic in the style of fortune teller (though I’m sure that it’s been done.)
Conceived as a “choose your own adventure”/ dungeon and dragons style device, it was a fun exploration of comics as objects.
The Spaceman aka "The Infinite Comic"
While browsing reddit, I saw a never ending pamphlet called an infinity fold. The format seemed perfect for a comic and after months of work I created “The Spaceman” a never ending comic.
By modifying the design I was able to make it one continuous plane the entire time the user is reading the comic. As you can see in each “page” there are panels that extend between outside to create a never ending background. The idea being that no matter where we are in the story, we are always within in it.
This is the second in a series of works that I am calling “Object Comics” as I am interested in creating comics serve as both story and in a way sclupture for lack of a better term. This project began with The Fortune Teller and will continue through the next year (2019-2020). I will be adding in a tutorial for how to create your own as I believe in open sourcing artistic techniques.

The Nihilist's Coloring Book
What can I say? This is a cash grab to the coloring book phase that has taken book stores by storm. I won’t talk about what’s inside, but I can guarantee that it will satisfy the pitch black heart of the Nihilist in your life.
Plus it comes with a free crayon.
One day, while hammered in a bar, I drew an adorable boy made out of dicks. My college friend Dan named them Dick Boys and the name stuck.
While the comic is technically not safe for work, the goal is to make people laugh without ever being too gross or crass. I update this through Instagram which you can find here. Again this comic is not safe for work. Because of the dicks.
